Genéve!!

The Escalade run in Genéve! L'Escalade is a festival that is held every year in Genéve celebrating the Swiss victory of a surprised attack that the French made in 1602 to conquer the city.

The costumes were creative and some were quite funny x.x

The first snow fall we walked through in Europe :)
 Carouge!

A beautiful view of the Rhone and mountains surrounding Genéve!
 The Old Town of Genéve

St. Pierre Cathedral! Beautiful!

The soup container that saved Genéve from the French.

Lake Genéve

We woke up one morning and everything was covered in snow :)))

I went to a sauna with Paula located on Lake Genéve. Thanks Xaviar for treating us :D! There was a Finnish sauna, a Turkish sauna and another one. They were very hot and quite relaxing especially after being in the cold for as long as we were. Definitely a nice change.
After sitting for a while in the sauna we took a dip in Lake Genéve. The water was just above freezing and after stepping in the water for one second your feet were already numb. Now that was COLD!

The beautiful scenery as seen from the sauna :)

Views walking around Genéve!
Here is Paula leading me along a beautiful path that follows the River Rhone. We had such a great time!

Here is the intersection of the River Rhone(left) and Arve (right). Beautiful :DD
