BERGISH GLADBACH :D
Here we are walking around Sonja´s hometown.
What does this sign even mean? It is difficult to tell. The first time we saw this sign was when Tom Hanks was on the Late Show with Dave Letterman. Definitely a must see. Anyway Sonja educated us of the meaning of this sign. Apparently (:P) it means that you are supposed to drive really really slow because it is a residential area with narrow streets that kids are playing in and people commonly walk in.
These are what the parks in Germany look like... jungle gyms to the sky
The famous cathedral of Cologne is behind us. Wie schoen!!!
Along this bridge couples place a locks on the side to ´lock` love within the relationship together forever (just like in Verona). As you can see there are thousands upon thousands of them!
Now this was priceless. A group of guys, who were carrying a crate of beers, and obviously quite inebriated, were looking along the fence the locks were attached to. After what seemed like a long time, they finally found the lock they were looking for and one of the guys enthusiastically broke the lock with those red pliers. I guess forever was too long for that relationship :P
A close up of the cathedral!
On of the many awesome breweries that we went to in Germany. We sat in the basement, had wonderful beer and Ben learned that Cologne is famous for its golden beer (because he asked for a darker beer, which he prefers, and the bartender said he could only get that in that `other`city).
CASTLE (name to be remembered)
So it was super awesome. Not only did we get to see the castle but there was a market surrounding and within the castle itself. Definitely a LOT to see.
¨My daddy just killed it.¨ After she said that there was nothing to say. We were speechless.
BONN and THE GERMAN HISTORY MUSEUM
Yeah. There is nothing great about being the early bird. Just trust me ;)
Making our way to our next destination... PARIS!!
