Gearing up for Another Trip

The time has finally come to sweep the cobwebs off of my long silent blog.

I am getting ready to go on my longest backpacking trip yet! I am heading with Jenna, a friend that I studied abroad with in Galapagos, to Southeast Asia for a whopping 12 weeks. We are beyond stoked!

We are landing in Bangkok, Thailand on 10 December and will travel around Thailand for the duration of our 30 day visa, visiting Chang Mai, the small towns and villages in between Chang Mai and Bangkok, and hopefully doing some hiking in northern Thailand. From there, we will probably head over to Myanmar, depending on how applying for visas at the Myanmar Embassy in Bangkok goes. After that we will be in India for about two weeks. The first week, we will be spending at a yoga retreat in Goa and the next week we will be visiting Nikita, one of Jenna's friends from UM, in her hometown Bangalore. From there we are thinking of heading to Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, and then we will wrap our trip up in Indonesia with some diving.

We intentionally do not have any rigid travel plans. We want this trip to be free from time constraints and be more open to spontaneity and with 12 weeks, we have the time to be spontaneous.

I will be updating the blog with pictures from our escapades on a semi-regular basis, but alas that will dependent upon internet access.

Be on the lookout for the next post around the middle of December of some pictures from Bangkok!
